11:00 am - 4:30 pm 🍺 Three Tier Tour
Depart from Plank Road Tap Room, 39W149 Plank Rd., Elgin, IL 224-238-3527 ðŸ—ºï¸
Mommy, where do beers come from?
We are changing things up. In this rare experience, we will be taking a peek behind the curtain of the beer distribution chain. Going in reverse you will see how beer goes from production — to your distributor — to your watering hole — to your mouth hole.
Starting at Plank Road Tap Room in Elgin, a beloved and frequent partner of ours—we will then venture off to Elgin Beverage to take a tour of their entire operation. Then, we move onto our final stop at Pollyanna Brewing Co. in St. Charles to enjoy anything from a traditional golden ale— to a witbier with chili and lime.
All three of these stops on our tour work together to bring you the beers you love at the places you love.
As always, we encourage riders to do a little research on flagship and seasonal selections that may be offered during our visits to each location.
Tickets $74.95 at Vorlauf Brew Tours.

Amber's Soul Black Rye IPA
Hoppy Grinchmas Imperial Red Ale.

5:05 - 8:30 pm 🍺 Bottle Share!
Beer on Central, 1930 Central St., Evanston, IL 847-905-0951 ðŸ—ºï¸
Let's have another bottle share! We will start opening bottles around 5:15, though we encourage people to begin showing up after we close at 5. The door will be locked, so knock and someone will let you in.
A few basic bottle share rules will apply:
1. Each person participating NEEDS to bring 22 ounces or more of a hard to find, rare, or out of area beer. The 22 ounces is to make sure everyone who brings a bottle can get (at least) a one ounce pour.
This is the most important rule! Please don't show up if you don't have anything to share, unless you talked to someone at the shop first.
Good types of beers to bring are: limited release beer; beers from well known out or state breweries (trillium, alchemist, treehouse, etc…), brewery release only beers, a beer you had to wait in line for.
Not-so-good beers to bring: old IPAs; something you found on the shelf of the grocery/liquor store.
If you’re not sure what to bring, call or stop by the shop and ask. No judgement.
You can bring homebrew to share, but it does not count as a share bottle.
2. We won’t be selling any beer on tap during the share. Just drinking what people bring.
3. Be cool and have fun! Please leave ego and snobby attitudes at the door.
4. Pease respond to this event if you are coming and comment on what you plan on bringing. It will help everything go smoother if we can get an idea of how many people are coming and what they may be bringing.
This event is free, but the price of admission is bringing a something to share.
