In the days before Prohibition, Cream Ale was the preferred beer style of the blue collar worker. Born + Raised is Goose Island's nod to the Cream Ale originally brewed and enjoyed by Chicagoan's. They added a dry hop to this clean and refreshing ale that has a slightly sweet malt body and undertones of corn that complement our signature house yeast flavor.
This beer has a lot of character, right down to the custom tap handle made in a wood shop in Garfield Park. Just when we thought that Goose Island couldn't make a more quintessential Chicago beer (three-twelve, that is!) Born + Raised is another solid brew in their local lineup. Come grab some and see for yourself!

Chicago on Tap is a beer enthusiasts event meant to encourage guests to explore our local brews that are making Chicago the Craft Beer Capital of the USA. Chicago on Tap features samplings from a long list of Chicagoland’s breweries. New this year, guests will enjoy a beer-inspired tasting menu from more than 10 award-winning Chicago chefs, including Beat Bobby Flay Winner Chef Cory Morris and recently crowned “Chicago’s Prince of Pork” Cochon555 winner Chef Danny Espinoza.
