We’ll be tapping another ridiculously awesome line up from Goose Island including all kinds of rare and specialty brews. All beers will be tapped at 9am, first come first served, first poured;

As if the beer line up wasn’t enough we're smoking up some geese and serving up a specialty Opening Day BBQ Menu:
Goose Mac and Cheese - Five cheese beer mac and cheese, tossed with smoked pulled goose.
Smoked Pulled Goose Sandwich - Bourbon County Stout BBQ sauce, fencing /jicama slaw, smoked gouda, arugula and tomato on a pretzel bun.
Goose Flatbread - Pulled Goose with arugula, cheery tomato, parmesan cheese & a cheery wine sauce. 

 

10:00 - 1:00 am 🍺 Chicago Cubs Home Opener

The Dark Horse Tap & Grille celebrates the return of the Chicago Cubs to Wrigley Field with an all-day party kicking off at 10 a.m. Monday. The tap raffles off two pairs of future-date Cubs tickets; the first drawing is held between 11-11:30 a.m., and the second drawing is slated for approximately 1 p.m. Representatives from Budweiser, Bud Light and Bell’s Brewery will be in-house before the Cubs take the field against the Pittsburgh Pirates (1:20 p.m. first pitch) with prizes and giveaways such as T-shirts, hats and other logoed gear.
 Featured Bell’s Brewery beers include Official Hazy IPA, Oberon Ale and Two Hearted Ale ($7 each). Additional opening day specials, which are offered in lieu of the normal daily deals, include $6 Budweiser/Bud Light tallboy cans, $4 Old Style tallboy cans, $6 Fireball Cinnamon Whisky shots, $6 Paddy Irish Whiskey shots and $20 Corona/Corona Light buckets.
Watch the ballgame with sound on 17 TVs in the tap’s main bar and heated year-round beer garden. The Dark Horse will debut the eight-seat sidewalk café for the 2019 season on April 8. The Dark Horse Tap & Grille is open from 10 a.m.-2 a.m. on Monday, April 8 and the kitchen is open until from 10 a.m.-11 p.m.

Bitter Madness is BARREL AGED MADNESS this year! Running through April 8th we will be featuring a battle for the ages as we pair up Goose Island‘s BCS Series vs Revolution Brewing‘s Deep Woods Series! Join us as we celebrate some of Chicago’s finest Barrel Aged Beers!
The Brewery with the most wins at the end of the tournament will be crowned the winner! Let's be honest we all win when two incredible local breweries are producing beer at this extremely high level. So come celebrate greatness and support these two local giants.

7:00 - 8:00 pm 🍺 Cider School: Wood Aged Cider
The Northman, 4337 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago 773-935-2255 🌎
In barrel aging, there is a wide spectrum of intensity of flavor based on the wood to cider ratio and the previous use of the wood (beer, whiskey, wine, etc.). In this class, we will explore these different wooden vessels and gauge their impact on different cider blends. Adventure awaits.
Tickets include a flight a four ciders, tableside snacks and the course instructor. And we always dig into our cellar to find something special for a final toast.
