12:00 - 9:00 pm 🍺 Westmalle Dubbel Release Party!
Sleeping Village, 3734 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago 773-654-3971 ðŸ—ºï¸
Westmalle Dubbel is one of three varieties of ale produced by the Brouwerij der Trappisten van Westmalle, located in the town of Malle, Belgium. Westmalle Dubbel (7.0%) is a dark red-brown beer with a rich, complex taste. Touches of caramel, malt and fruity esters reminiscent of ripe banana combined with a long, dry finish make this beer one of the finest examples of the style. Dubbel is the only style of beer made by Westmalle that is offered on draft. This very limited shipment of Trappist ale has been given only to a handful of bars (4 to be exact) in the city. Worldwide, approximately 150 establishments are given the opportunity to pour Westmalle Dubbel on draft.

Literate Ape presents BUGHOUSE!, a 75-minute show designed to interrogate concepts, proselytize truth, and dissect popular thought through a lens of skeptical artistry. Three bouts, six warriors, three decisions. BUGHOUSE! aims to definitively answer the most (and least) important questions of the day.
Questions will be explored, debated and answered by a singular deciding judge (randomly selected from the audience) and soapboxed by some of Chicago’s finest writers, stand up comics, musicians, and poets.
For April 1st, the lineup will be:
Brett Dworski vs. Lauren Reed • The better Clown: Bozo or Krusty
Lindsay Williams vs. Chris Churchill • Is a MAGA hat a sign of hatred or just an expression of simple opinion?
Kari Castor vs. Sheri Reda • Hipsters: Are they hip or square?
Tickets are $10.00 in advance.
