Beer Information/Tasting Notes
2014 Imperial Stout, Russian Imperial Stout, Extremely Limited Availability, 10.5% ABV
Brewed with 10 varieties of malted barley this stout is extremely smooth, complex and rich in body. Imperial Stout was retired by the brewery in 2017 and is scheduled for release again in late 2019.
2018 Kentucky Breakfast Stout, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Chocolate Coffee Stout, Limited Availability/Barrel-Aged Series, 12.3% ABV
Imperialized Breakfast Stout base; brewed with flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates, and two types of coffee. Cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for 12 months. Notes of bourbon, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Released March 2018.
2018 Canadian Breakfast Stout, Maple Syrup Bourbon Barrel-Aged Coffee Chocolate Stout, Limited Availability/Barrel-Aged Series, 11.7% ABV
This beer is the same base as KBS. Aged for over a year in spent bourbon barrels that most recently housed pure Michigan maple syrup. Notes of rich maple syrup, roasted coffee and velvety chocolate. This beer went on hiatus after the 2011 release and did not return to the Barrel-Aged Series until 2017. The 2018 stout was released in November 2018.
2018 Dankwood, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Red IPA, Limited Availability/Barrel-Aged Series, 12.2% ABV
The third release of the 2018 Barrel-Aged Series; released April 2018; new beer/never brewed before. Rich caramel notes emerge from the depths of the IPA, highlighting strong malt character while the bourbon barrel-aging develops the complexity. A dank, sticky and slightly sweet sipper, this beer is the perfect balance of wood and hops.
Centennial India Pale Ale, Year-Round, 7.2% ABV. Single hop IPA (Centennial). Frothy head with a floral bouquet and citrus accents from the abundance of dry hopping. Sweet, yet balanced; malty undertones balance the hop character for a finish that never turns too bitter.
