Sleeping Village, 3734 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago 773-654-3971 🌎
LIVE PODCAST TAPING! At Few Brews Beer Club , we believe beer is more about the experiences had while drinking beer (over beer) than the beer itself. These experiences are what make a great beer memorable. If we do our jobs right, Over Beer will be one of these experiences for you, connecting a face (or faces) and a story to the beer you love, through live interview events and recorded audio.
At this event, we will be hosting a panel conversation and live podcast recording with four Illinois breweries. We'll chat about the state's different markets, what it means to be an Illinois craft brewery and what makes each brewery on the panel so unique.
The panel:
Jude La Rose — Co-founder of Hop Butcher for the World
Marty Scott — Quality and Innovation Lead at Revolution Brewing
Emily Kwasny — Operations Manager at Temperance Beer Co.
Mike Pallen — Owner and Head Brewer at Mikerphone Brewing
A few brews from our panel breweries will be on tap to purchase and enjoy during the event.

7:00 - 11:00 pm 🍺 Brewtender Bash
Old Irving Brewing Co., 4419 W. Montrose Ave., Chicago 773‑916‑6421 🌎
We got together with Marz Community Brewing, Maplewood Brewery & Distillery, Forbidden Root, and Off Color Brewing to smash some brain grapes and come up with a beer for #ILCraftBeerWeek. After much “thinking” (and maybe a few beers) a beer inspired by a Hemingway Daiquiri was born!
Join us Monday when we release this tasty treat. Also, during this night, each one of these talented breweries will take turns getting behind the bar to sling a special cocktail they concocted for that night only. No tickets need; just show up for some fun and maybe a little debauchery.

7:00 - 9:00 pm 🍺 Battle of the Bizarre Brews
Firehouse Grill, 750 Chicago Ave., Evanston, IL 847‑733‑1911 🌎
At this showdown of the Battle of the Bizarre Brews, a selection of the best craft brewers from the North Shore face off in a competition that features beers with strange tastes and ingredients including chocolate and gin.
The elite brewers at Sketchbook, Temperance, Alarmist, and Begyle breweries will all bring their best and most unique beers to compete to see which beer will earn your vote and be crowned Atlas Obscura's winner. If you've ever wondered what a hot-dog-flavored beer might taste like, this event is your chance!
Included in your ticket ($50, here) will be a five-course meal specially created to compliment the strange tastes. In between beers and bites, you’ll get a chance to hear the stories of our local brew masters who will cover topics like how to open a brewery, the history of craft beer in Chicago, and how to drink a beer like an expert.
The brawl all goes down during Illinois Craft Beer Week, inside Chicagos's own Firehouse Grill. Once an actual fire station, the Firehouse Grill is an Evanston icon and under new management. Owner Pat Fowler will join us to give a history on the historical building.
